The Trump-Epstein Bombshell Just Dropped
Could this be the final issue that knocks Trump off the edge politically?
Trump’s relationship with disgraced financier and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is not a closely held secret. There are numerous photos of the two men together at parties, Trump flew together with Epstein multiple times in the 1990s, and the future president once told New York Magazine in 2002: “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
More recently, the Trump-Epstein relationship reignited in a big way after Trump’s DOJ and FBI concluded the convicted sex offender had no “client list” that includes evidence of him blackmailing prominent figures who joined him in his revolting exploits, adding that he died by suicide. MAGA influencers and Trump’s base were deeply unhappy and conflicted about the news, with some willing to toe the president’s line that it was a washed-up story, while others started to think they were being fooled.
Then on Thursday, the big bombshell dropped.
According to Oliver Darcy’s Status, the WSJ was working on a story highlighting the president’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. The rumor ville suggests the Journal has a copy of a birthday card or note written by Trump to Epstein, which the White House does not want to be released.
By Thursday evening, the WSJ dropped the bombshell. Ghislaine Maxwell prepared a special gift of letters from Epstein’s friends to celebrate the disgraced financier’s 50th birthday, and one of them is from the future president himself. The note was styled as an imaginary conversation between Trump and Epstein, written in the third person, and it is really something when you read it for the first time…
It isn’t clear how the letter with Trump’s signature was prepared. Inside the outline of the naked woman was a typewritten note styled as an imaginary conversation between Trump and Epstein, written in the third person.
“Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything,” the note began.
Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.
Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.
Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.
Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?
Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.
Trump: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.
Trump denied writing the letter and drawing a picture of what appeared to be the framed outline of a naked woman framing the lines of typewritten text, calling it a fake story.
In an interview with the Journal on Tuesday evening, Trump denied writing the letter or drawing the picture. “This is not me. This is a fake thing. It’s a fake Wall Street Journal story,” he said.
“I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women,” he said. “It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”
He told the Journal he was preparing to file a lawsuit if it published an article. “I’m gonna sue The Wall Street Journal just like I sued everyone else,” he said.
This comes as the Epstein story has been dogging Washington for the past two weeks, growing in intensity during the last few days.
Earlier this week, Democrats of the House Judiciary Committee demanded that Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel testify during a hearing. In response to the recent controversies, Pam Bondi told NBC News that “Our memo speaks for itself,” adding she is not resigning anytime soon.
In a break from Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson called for details of the Epstein case to be released, including allowing Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell to testify before Congress. However, the moral outrage by House Republicans was slightly undermined when they moved to block Democratic efforts to force the release of Epstein files, twice within 24 hours.
Wired then dropped a bombshell on the metadata from the FBI’s Jeffrey Epstein video, reporting that the amount of time edited out was not just one minute, but nearly three minutes.
Engaging in serious Jedi mind-tricking, Trump disavowed “PAST supporters” who believed the "Jeffrey Epstein Hoax" on a post in Truth Social, claiming it is a new “SCAM” by the Democrats, despite pushing the conspiracies around it for years.
“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this “bull——,” hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote Wednesday on his Truth Social site, using an expletive in his post. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”
“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he went on.
It comes as Trump has deflected the Epstein issue by blaming the Democrats, claiming it was the work of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and former FBI Director James Comey.
Hours later, Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey and prosecutor for the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), was abruptly fired. She worked on the prosecution against Sean “Diddy” Combs, as well as cases surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
And hours before the WSJ story broke out on Thursday, Trump’s White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt rejected the notion of a special counsel looking into the Epstein case.
For more than 10 years, pundits and political enthusiasts have pondered whether the latest news story or scandal could break the iron-grip support among Trump’s base. This time, it could be the make-or-break story.
We are already seeing influencers and podcasters doubting their support of Trump, some Trump fans are burning their MAGA hats and merch, and the president got ratioed on his social media platform. The WSJ story is bound to pour more fuel on the fire, but we will need more time to see whether his fans will break with him on this singular issue that they care about so much, or will they bend the knee and continue their cult-like devotion to the dear leader.
